Player Background: Tunisian champion in all categories; Arab champion, African champion, #77 ITF juniors player, top Intercollegiate division I college player in the USA – reaching #39 in singles and #25 in doubles. Played NCAA singles championship twice, as well as representing Tunisia in the Davis Cup, helping them qualify to Grade 2. Professional ATP player with a career high ranking of #804 in singles and #528 in doubles.

Coach qualification and experience: Majed holds the Global Professional Tennis Coach Association (GPTCA-Level C & B) coach qualification and has been coaching since 2016. He has held positions as tennis coach at Vince Westbrook Tennis Academy, University of Tulsa (Tulsa, Oklahoma) coaching junior players. He was sparring partner of Ons Jabeur (WTA #9) and Malek Jaziri (ATP #50).

From March-October 2020 he worked at recreation clubs in Tunis, Tunisia as a private tennis coach, coaching players of different ages and levels. He is also an Internationally Certified Personal Trainer by the NASM.

Majed has been working with ATA since October 2020 where he is the Head Tennis professional at the HK Tennis Centre and enjoys coaching across all levels of juniors and adults players.

Hobbies / interests outside of tennis?
When not around Tennis, I like to do something chill like going to the beach or cinema or eat out. I like to travel and explore new places if have some time off.

Don’t know many but I like the Nike one “JUST DO IT”. I think it applies to anything you wanna do in life.

Favourite music / musician / band?
I like different type of music as long as it touches me with the tune or the lyrics.

Favourite CHILDHOOD TV / Movie?
I liked “Troy” movie growing up, I was very attached to its scenes and the end of the movie so that’s still my favourite.

When you were 5, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A top professional tennis player.

Tell me about your greatest achievement?
I have a few from Winning the African championship under 16 or getting number 77 ranked junior player in the world. Probably being a Student Athlete and graduating with a good Grade Point Average from a top private division 1 school in the US like University of Tulsa is by far my proudest achievement.

What’s the BEST and WORST advice you’ve ever received?
BEST: Be thankful for everything in life.

If you could have a SUPERPOWER what would it be and why?
To stop the time so I can run the world and control everyone, LOL.

If you could challenge any famous person or character to a tennis match, who would it be and why?
Djockovic. I wanna play with my favourite player and try to challenge him.

Hobby you were most obsessed with as a child?
Running.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Take life more seriously.

Would you rather have fingers for toes or toes for fingers? And how do you think it would affect your tennis game?
Fingers for Toes as that’s the only possible way to still hold a racquet, most likely starting a wheelchair tennis career.
